Catching crop stress weeks before it is visible

Catching crop stress weeks before it is visible
Drought-killed crop fields — Kansas, USA — before / after

An agronomist or insurer managing thousands of fields needs the earliest possible signal of trouble — a disease focus, a failed irrigation emitter, a first-week weed patch — while it still costs nothing to fix. Scouting and drone flights are episodic and can't cover the whole operation; native Sentinel-2 at 10–20 m averages a small anomaly away before it is visible. ETD detects, at the 4×4 m patch level, where vegetation diverges from its own field's local trend between two cloud-free passes, with thresholds derived automatically per field and season — so a three-plant disease focus surfaces the moment it begins, worldwide, on a 2–5 day cycle, with no tasking or per-field pricing. The packaged Field Anomaly product is in development; today ETD delivers the enhanced 2 m multispectral and NDVI time series it runs on.
